Our US Loans Trainee Development Program is a rotational 18-month accelerated development and hands-on experience platform to demonstrate your leadership and passion working on a variety of cross functional assignments. While advancing your banking industry knowledge, we will also focus on your personal development through 1 : 1 mentorship, coaching, exposure, and networking opportunities. The track focused on credit banking, portfolio management, credit administration, analysis, and underwriting; among other duties will allow you to contribute on strategic business-building opportunities and / or provide data analysis to uncover business drivers and trends. WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Gain experience analyzing and managing portfolios from beginning to end and contribute to Oriental’s bottom line.
  • Get exposure to and work with individuals and teams across Oriental. Expand your professional network and get to work with team members across the organization.
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration, consultation, and relationships with internal and external client groups.
  • Analyze, evaluate, monitor possible loans, and provide recommendations regarding future credit practices.
  • Analyze actual tasks and processes with a continuous improvement mindset to encourage necessary changes to achieve a more effective and efficient business procedure.
  • Comply with all program rotations and acquire / broaden knowledge, allowing better understanding of the banking industry business realities.
  • Acquire and strengthen leadership skills by completing and actively participating in all learning and development activities required.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, finance, math, economy, or related field required. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting and / or Economics highly preferred.
  • Candidates must be recently graduated, ideally within a twelve-month time frame.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Leadership, analytical, problem solving & sound decision-making skills required.
  • Project & process mindset; able to handle complex projects with sense of urgency, adaptability to change, innovation and results orientation is a must.
  • Being technology savvy is required. Proficiency on computer systems including MS Office required. Knowledge of databases, analytical, visualization, querying and other tools preferred.
  • Expressing yourself with fluency in Spanish and English (verbal & written) is required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship required.

  • Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
