Job Summary :
The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the property's systems and facilities operate safely and efficiently. This position requires technical knowledge across plumbing, and general building maintenance, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential to ensure timely and high-quality work. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a welcoming and well-functioning environment for members, guests, and staff alike.
Education & Experience :
- High School diploma or equivalent and / or experience a related field required.
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hospitality or country club environment.
- Technical or vocational training is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot general equipment.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus but not required.
Physical requirements :
Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.Ability to crawl, kneel, squat, and stoop as required to perform tasks in tight or confined spaces.Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and humidity, especially when performing outdoor maintenance tasks.Heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and / or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
