The Associate, Retail Channels (Channel Support) support daily operations to enhance controls and mitigate risks. Develop and implement standard operating procedures and feedback mechanisms to support channels compliance and operational problem fixes. Develop and implement standard operating procedures, perform periodic reviews of procedures, and keep them updated with any changes. Positions works on-site based in San Juan, PR.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Work in a cross-functional role with exposure to a wide variety of back-office systems, technologies, and areas to review the impact of other areas' initiatives, projects, instructions, or processes.
  • Support channel operational activities with an awareness of compliance considerations.
  • Act as the liaison with audit, compliance, and any regulatory process or agency.
  • Identify, review, and resolve regulatory, audit, and / or compliance exceptions as they arise, interfacing with customers and other staff.
  • Collaborate in streamlining processes and procedures and enforce controls.
  • Work with documentation and processes for business and channels activities.
  • Determine training requirements to improve and ensure compliance with processes.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and compliance.
  • Network with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and feedback mechanisms.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational safety, reliability, and performance issues across channels.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a similar position or banking area.
  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Fully bilingual – English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other business applications required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • WORK AUTHORIZATION & ELEGIBILITY :

  • Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
  • Employee is responsible for maintaining eligible work authorization throughout his tenure with the organization.
