The Opportunity

This position will provide support to our  North / East territory in the Medical Devices  /   Cardiac Rhythm Management business . Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks and Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

As the Clinical Specialist Associate II , you will provides educational, sales and technical support in response to field inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, patients, and field sales staff under moderate direction of Territory Manager / District Manager.Applies extensive sales and technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. What You’ll Do

Provides technical clinical and programming assistance, primarily in support Territory Manager / District Manager.

Integrates into all accounts; builds trust and relationships; establishes strong rapport with customers.

With gained product knowledge, becomes proficient in complex programming and case support.

Interfaces with all levels of the Sales and Sales Management staff.

Provides support to sales reps and hospital administrators on national agreements.

Interacts with customers and assigned institutions, physicians, and technicians, purchasing agents and administration staff.

Provides sales support, clinical in-services, training, and guidance to current or potential customers.

Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Provides sales and technical (implant and / or procedural case coverage) support in response to field inquiries on a 24-hour, on-call basis.

Responsible for exceeding revenue plan by developing and adhering to actionable business plan.

Contacts, visits, and interests’ clients and potential clients in the Company’s products and addresses any client questions and concerns. Interacts with customers and assigned institutions, physicians and technicians, customer purchasing and administration.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree inBiology, Bi Life Sciences, Bio-engineering field is desired

2 years of of experience in medical device product areas or related discipline, including direct experience in product sales. Also required : A minimum of 2+ year’s increasingly responsible experience in the cardiac pacing, electrophysiology, neuromodulation, and related industries. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology, electro-physiology, or cardiac electro-physiology procedures. Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures and protocol.

Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license is required since the position requires driving a motor vehicle as usual and integral part of the job.

Well organized, attention to detail, capable of juggling multiple projects and accustomed to tight deadlines.

Excellent personal computer skills includingMS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.

Required certification in assigned products within 6 months of hire date.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Ability to leverage and / or engage others to accomplish projects.

Strong verbal and written communication with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
