A Brief Overview
The Mortgage Account Executive supports and informs prospects and customers about mortgage products and financial options at FirstBank. Responsibilities include participating in product orientations and marketing promotions, analyzing customer needs for preliminary financial eligibility, determining suitable products, processing applications, supporting customers throughout the financing process, and developing sales plans aligned with business objectives.
The role requires adherence to the Bank’s BSA, AML, and OFAC policies, including reporting suspicious activities and completing mandatory training.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Develop and execute strategic plans for marketing and prospecting new clients.
- Participate in activities with potential clients and at events.
- Maintain updated leads in the Contact Manager System.
- Interview customers and evaluate financial eligibility.
- Complete mortgage loan applications.
- Analyze prospects' income, expenses, and credit information to determine eligibility and appropriate loan types.
- Assist customers in selecting the most suitable financing options.
- Gather pre-qualification documents and request payment for processing.
- Organize client information and process documents to facilitate approval, visiting customers if necessary.
- Enter customer data into the mortgage system.
- Prepare and deliver customer files to the Processing Unit.
- Conduct telephone contact with prospects as instructed by supervisors.
- Participate in training, seminars, and meetings for professional development.
- Support other Mortgage units and undertake special assignments as needed.
- Assist management as required.
Competencies
Knowledge of FHA, VA, RURAL, Conforming, and Non-Conforming mortgage processes and documentation.Excellent sales and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish; English skills are a plus.Ability to utilize marketing techniques to identify potential clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mortgage applications like E-3.Understanding of mortgage regulations and industry standards.Additional Requirements
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Compliance with CFPB’s Loan Originator Rule, SAFE Act, and maintaining an active NMLSR record are mandatory, including ongoing education.Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
