This position will be at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as hybrid , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do :
- Designs major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
- Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
- Develops data and makes parametric models, layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals.
- Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
- Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.Qualifications We Prefer
BS in Mechanical Engineering or an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience in design of Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs).Proficiency in Siemens NX, Visio, SolidWorks software.Experience interacting with Mechanical Computer Aided Design Resources (MCAD).Project Engineering experience is a plus.Experience interacting with configuration management (CM).Knowledge and Experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Tolerance Stack up Calculation, Weight Analysis, etc.Proficiency in ANSYS, ABAQUS FEA software.Teamcenter (or other collaborational space) knowledge is a plus.SAP knowledge is valuable.Experience in Thermal Sciences (applied and analysis) is a plus.Experience in CNC Manufacturing, Mechanical Design.What We Offer
