The Opportunity

This position works out of our Arecibo, PR location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

Shift : 7 : 00AM- 3 : 30PM

As a Handyman, you will be responsible for providing a wide variety of facility maintenance services to Abbott / CRM site.

What You’ll Work On

• Inspect, perform and document work orders and Service request base on CMMS Infor task and schedule.
• Lead and support requested conference rooms events setup.
• Respond as a backup for certain facility emergencies or specials jobs Must be a member and trained on Emergency Response Practices.
• The Handyman must perform task base in the following Technical Skills to Maintain and repair all building facilities in satisfactory condition at all times.
• Acts as support of the Facilities Technical Team while performing mechanical, electrical work and minor alterations in the building.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendor’s miscellaneous work related to the scope mentioned above.
• Ensure compliance with all Abbott procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
• The Handyman must perform task base in the following Technical Skills :
• Plumbing : Repairing leaky faucets, installing toilets, repairing leaky pipes, installing sinks, and other basic plumbing work.
• Electricity : Replacing switches and plugs, installing lights, troubleshooting minor electrical problems, and understanding basic electrical codes.
• Carpentry : Furniture assembly, shelf installation, door and window repair, and other basic carpentry work.
• Painting : Painting walls, ceilings, pipes, doors, and frames, and preparing surfaces for painting.
• Drywall Repair : Patching holes, repairing cracks, and damaging drywall.
• General maintenance : Gutter cleaning, fence repair and other general maintenance tasks.
