Overview We are seeking a Tactical Buyer to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts at our facility in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Under the direction of the Tactical Buyer Leader, this position is responsible for ensuring direct raw materials and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies availability, tracking the material flow from MRP messages execution, transit, receiving process in warehouse until the vendor payment, resolving any supply issues, and optimizing procurement parameters in SAP. This positions has the responsibility to collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to ensure continuity of production, maintaining the master data in SAP in a proper way to ensure the proper system functionality. Responsibilities Ensure the timely receiving of materials by executing the purchase requisitions on time and working collaboratively with the Tactical Purchasing team. Execute the MRP messages on time to ensure the inventory availability and the proper inventory level. Monitoring the delivery dates and keeping the arrival date update in SAP. Proactiveness and accountability for solving shortages assigned short, mid and long term. Coordinate with planning, scheduling, quality and logistics to keep the ETS on target. Keep well informed Tactical Buyer Leader and the Material Manager on any potential problem and improvements. Generate weekly shortages reports to identify any material issue and work with Purchasing and Logistics teams to resolve it. Work with the Tactical Buyer Leader to develop and execute plans to reduce lead time, reduce freight costs and reduce the inventory level. Develop and maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. Ensure safety policies are being followed. Other duties as assigned by Tactical Buyer Leader. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. 1-year proven experience in Direct Materials Purchasing. Experience with ERP system Experience in a manufacturing environments. Required Skills : Ability to work in a self-managed work team environment. Ability to work different work schedules. Sound judgment and decision making, problem solving, flexibility, assertiveness, resilience, and strong quality orientation Complete fluency in English and Spanish in verbal, reading and writing. Ability to influence, excellent follow through and organization skills. Continuous improvement mindset.
