Summary
REVA Inc, is a US based air ambulance company with established flight operations internationally. We operate air ambulance aircrafts conducting medium and long-range air ambulance flights.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation, coordination, and delivery of medical care provided to patients during transport
- Is familiar with the scope of practice of the transport team members and the State rules and regulations in which the transport team operates
- Works with the other transport team members to coordinate care of the patient during transport; once called, readily available / arrive at specified location, within 45 minutes before wheels.
Preflight Reesponsibilities
Calculates, loads and secures oxygen appropriate to patient needs, allowing for delays and / or changes in patient conditionAssures medical equipment is accounted for, properly functioning and securely stowed on the aircraftFamiliar with location and use of equipment and supplies, to include medicationsAssures additional medical equipment / supplies are available for the specific needs of the patient condition and needs, based on available patient report and distance of transportCommunicates condition, acuity and any unusual issues with entire transport teamReviews dispatch sheet with Flight Coordinator, noting special instructionsParticipates in pre-flight debriefing with other members of team, including pilotsUnderstands and follows guidelines, policies, and procedures of Reva, Inc.Qualifications
Proficient in all basic therapeutic modalities of respiratory careMinimum of 3 years related experience. Previous flight experience preferredFlight experience can be substituted year for year for the ICU / ED / Trauma requirementRT license as appropriate to assigned locationCurrent BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLPre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) certification preferred but not requiredCurrent Passport requiredMinimum availability required is 6 days a month with one weekend includedAbility to work varied shifts and cover fixed wingair ambulance call shiftsDrug screening and a background investigation requiredMustlive within an hour of Fort Lauderdale Executive airport (FXE)and be able to stay on overnightsMust be able to lift and move up to 50 pound and help transfer patients of all ages and physical conditionsMustbe flexible and able to handle unexpected situations and delays with a good attitudeMustbe able to work well as part of a teamBilingual skills a plusPhysical Requirements
