Software Engineer- Virtual from Puerto Rico

Job Description

This position is with the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations Design, Release, and Test Systems (DR&TS) team. The DR&TS team develops software solutions that are used by our engineering design teams to simplify the design process. This position is for a Software Engineer to automate and administer the Capital Harness Systems tool suite for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and develop Capital automations.

The successful candidate will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. They will be responsible for the operational support, design, development, documentation, testing, and defect resolution for their assigned software projects. They will support deployments to programs in program downtime as required.

The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective pro-active communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational interactions.

Desired skills

• Development or user experience with Electrical Harness Design systems (Capital, etc.) including development of customizations
• 2+ years Java development experience
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools (Ansible Core / Tower, YAML, Cloud services and automations, Test Driven Development, Automated Testing, Containerization)
• Familiarity with other scripting languages (JavaScript, Perl, C#, VBScript, PowerShell, Unix Shell, Windows Host)
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CASP, CISSP)
