Avantor is looking for a dedicated and responsible Sr. Sales Rep to lead sales efforts across an assigned territory, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure. The Sr. Rep focuses on expanding Avantor’s customer base, deepening relationships, and aligning with company goals. The role also leverages modern tools—including AI technologies—to deliver data-driven sales strategies and enhance customer engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : College Degree or equivalent experience required
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
3+ years sales experience preferred
Additional Qualifications :
Industry Experience a plus
Business to Business Sales Experience Preferred
Experience using CRM systems and AI tools for sales enablement is strongly recommended.
How you will thrive and create an impact :
Manage a dynamic territory comprising diverse customer segments (e.g., pharma, biotech, academia, industrial).
Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline using CRM (SAP C4C, Salesforce) and AI-assisted prospecting tools.
Use AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Sales Intelligence Tools, Predictive Analytics) to identify sales trends, generate outreach strategies, and optimize sales cycle performance.
Conduct intelligent lead scoring, opportunity analysis, and workflow automation using AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide tailored, consultative solutions that meet customer needs, leveraging Avantor's digital and service capabilities.
Collaborate with marketing and business intelligence teams to run AI-supported campaigns and targeted outreach.
Represent Avantor at industry events and customer engagements, promoting value-added services and solutions.
Continuously expand knowledge of Avantor’s offerings and competitors through training and AI-powered research tools.
Conduct regular business reviews, pipeline forecasting, and digital reporting to ensure sales targets are met.
Mentor junior team members on AI usage in sales and best practices in digital engagement.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
AI Literacy : Familiarity with AI platforms for sales prospecting, lead generation, and data-driven decision-making.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from CRM and BI dashboards.
Proficient in CRM systems (SAP C4C, Salesforce), Microsoft 365, and sales enablement platforms.
Effective communication and relationship-building across internal and external stakeholders.
Consultative and strategic sales approach with proven quota achievement.
Agile in hybrid work environments (remote, virtual, and in-person).
Strong self-management and organizational skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Hybrid work model : home-based with frequent travel across Puerto Rico.
Physical requirements limited to lifting samples or promotional items (
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.
