General Description
The Wire Transfer Technician is responsible for performing operational support duties of the Wire Transfer Department. Effectively process wire transfer instructions through the Wire Transfer System. Responsible for accurate initiation, verification and releasing of Fedwire and SWIFT payments (incomings and outgoings) and between financial institutions to meet the established cutoff times. Ensure compliance with the Federal Reserve guidelines and all applicable laws and regulations. Monitors the status of wires including the OFAC queue, secure appropriate approvals and release wires according to established guidelines. Investigates and researches investigations, claims and disputes, and suspicious or fraudulent transactions in accordance with state and federal regulations. Adheres to department guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements governing Wire Transfer Operations while maintaining maximum level of accuracy, quality, timeliness of work and providing optimum customer service and satisfaction.

Education
Bachelor's degree completed from an accredited college or university.
Experience
Two-to-three-year previous banking operations experience, payment processing experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
