We are looking for a Junior Accountant with strong analytical skills to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and conducting analyses to support decision-making processes. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Conduct financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports to support management in strategic planning.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
  • Assist with internal audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Generate detailed financial reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Support tax filing processes by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
  • Stay updated on financial and accounting best practices, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles; internships or entry-level experience in financial analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication skills to present financial findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
  • Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and integration.
  • Progress toward a CPA or other professional certification is a plus.
