Job Overview :
Dot Works is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People Operations Specialist to support day-to-day HR operations at our manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. This on-site role will focus on payroll administration, HR compliance, and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring smooth execution of core HR functions in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll & HR Administration
- Administer accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with Puerto Rican labor and tax regulations.
- Maintain employee records, including timekeeping, attendance, and personal data updates.
- Support the administration of employee benefits and ensure proper documentation and communication with staff.
- Coordinate HRIS data entry and updates, and assist in generating routine HR reports.
HR Compliance & Policies
- Ensure HR practices and documentation align with local labor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of workplace safety procedures in partnership with facility leadership.
- Support internal audits and documentation tracking for compliance purposes.
Employee Support & Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries and administrative needs.
- Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding processes, including
documentation, orientation, and exit procedures.
- Help foster a positive employee experience by supporting engagement initiatives and maintaining clear communication channels.
Talent & Performance Support
- Coordinate logistics for interviews, onboarding, training, and performance check-ins.
- Maintain schedules and documentation related to performance management and annual reviews.
- Support local recruitment efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting in Puerto Rico.
- Solid knowledge of Puerto Rican labor laws, payroll processing, and HR documentation requirements.
- Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), with strong verbal and written communication skills.
