Communications Associate

Position Summary :

Saint John’s School, a Toddler to 12-grade co-ed secular school is actively seeking dynamic, innovative Communications Associate to provide tactical support in community communications, social media, brand storytelling, and content creation. Reporting to the Communications Director, this junior-level role is responsible for helping bring the school’s voice and values to life across platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engaging content that supports the school's mission, values, and strategic goals.The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and digitally savvy communicator with a working knowledge of communications, social media, and basic marketing principles. It’s a go-to for support creating content, managing day-to-day communications tasks, and amplifying the school’s presence in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree (or coursework in progress) in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Strong English writing, editing, and verbal communication skills (Spanish writing and editing proficiency is a plus).
• Experience or coursework in social media and digital content creation, including understanding social media platforms, trends, and metrics.
• Working knowledge of Canva or similar creative design tools.
• Organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a proactive and professional attitude.
• Basic understanding of how to engage with media, write press releases, and track media coverage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Awareness of tools like Meta Insights, or social media dashboards to assess communications performance (Google Analytics is a plus).
