JOB SUMMARY :
Perform a variety of basic technical task related to the installation, service and repair of all refrigeration, air conditioning, and water-based equipment, as well as facilities maintenance activities with thorough troubleshooting and diagnosing ability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently, including afterhours.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries.
- Following established safety rules, regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
At least two (3) to five (8) years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades including knowledge of and ability to use tools materials and methods.HVAC Technical School degree.Valid Driver's license.PR Licensed Refrigeration Technician.EPA Universal licensed.Own power and hand tools.Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation (OSHA 30 HRS is a plus).Bilingual, English and Spanish.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
Eye for detail. An eye for detail is going to be an essential skill needed in carpentry.Good math skills. Mathematical skills are an essential area that you will need to excel in.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and control circuits.MeticulousPreciseDetail workInstalling FixturesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This job operates indoors and outdoors on many types of buildings and construction projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
