What You Can Expect
The Operations Planning Manager oversees the planning operations and activities at their plant location(s), including production planning and materials planning. This includes driving process standardization, efficiency, and communication of process inputs and outputs. The Operations Planning Manager must understand and champion the standard processes that are communicated by regional leadership and CI teams, and ensure adherence to those procedures at their location(s). Drawing on Zimmer Biomet and industry best practices, the Operations Planning Manager must work to ensure accurate and reliable planning of materials and production of goods based on supply plans provided by central supply chain planning. In doing so, this position helps Zimmer Biomet commit to the highest standards of patient safety and quality in our products and services and to world-class integrity and ethical business practices.
How You'll Create Impact
Strategy & Vision
- Manages operations planning and activities for anywhere from one to three locations, depending on plant size and output
- Enables Zimmer Biomet to achieve highly reliable supply chain solutions through strategic planning, enterprise optimization and logistical excellence
- Promotes operational best practices and alignment across operations and materials planning within their locations of oversight
Operations
Acts as process owner for operations planning and materials planning activities within their location(s)Facilitates knowledge transfer upwards to regional leader, and within their planning team at the plant locationCollaboration with multiple cross functional teams including Operations, Sourcing, Commercial Operations, Product Management, Distribution & Logistics, and Customer Service in the creation, execution, and communication of local supply plansManages location specific KPIs through periods of normal and abnormal supply (shortages, disruptions, etc.)Assists regional planning leader to foster communication between Planning Ops personnel and Supply Planning personnel at their plant to ensure unified planning functionsEnsures regular capability reviews and site supply reviews are completed and outputs are communicatedHandles escalations within their plant, engaging in further escalation procedures at the regional level as necessaryPeople Management

Expected Compensation Range : $105,571 to $130k USD, plus bonus
