Senior Backend Engineer

To develop and maintain the Payroll product, the full-time Senior Backend Engineer will design scalable back-end systems, collaborate with product teams, and manage the full development cycle in a remote role for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone. Key responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems using a modern microservices architecture Collaborate with product managers and front-end engineers to implement new features aligned with the product roadmap Take ownership of the full development cycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring Required qualifications 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on backend development Hands-on experience using AI coding tools for developing, testing, and debugging backend software Experience building customer-facing SaaS products from inception to launch Proficiency in relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture
