Senior Engineering Manager

The full-time Senior Engineering Manager will lead a small team of frontend engineers in a remote capacity, owning the vision for Headway's UI development, setting the strategy for the design system and web architecture, and collaborating closely with design and engineering leadership. Key responsibilities Manage and grow a team of frontend engineers, ensuring high performance and collaboration across all areas Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the frontend architecture and design system Oversee the implementation of frameworks, tooling, and standards for web applications, including accessibility and performance metrics Required qualifications Extensive experience in frontend development, particularly with React and modern web technologies At least 3 years of management experience, including hiring and performance management of engineers Proficiency in using AI tools for coding and a strong perspective on AI's role in frontend development Experience collaborating closely with design teams to translate design system decisions into engineering plans Demonstrated ability to align multiple product teams and manage competing priorities effectively
