Senior Frontend Engineer

Leading the design and technical direction of user-facing applications, the fully remote Senior Frontend Engineer will mentor engineers, set technical approaches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital services for Veterans and their families. Key responsibilities Oversee the architecture and technical decisions for frontend applications, ensuring production reliability and performance optimization Mentor team members through code reviews and technical guidance, raising the quality bar of the codebase Collaborate with backend, design, and product leads to deliver user-centered digital services while managing project scope and dependencies Required qualifications 8+ years of professional experience in building production frontend applications Strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, and proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript Experience with state management approaches, API integration, and production reliability Proven ability to set technical direction and make architecture decisions for frontend codebases Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
