Staff Data Engineer

As a foundational technical leader, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will work remotely to shape the data platform strategy, architect high-throughput streaming pipelines, and manage an enterprise data lakehouse ecosystem for processing telemetry from millions of connected homes. Key responsibilities Define and drive the long-term data architecture vision and design standards for the data ecosystem Lead the implementation of fault-tolerant batch and real-time streaming data infrastructure Mentor and guide data engineers while promoting engineering best practices and technical growth Required qualifications 10+ years of software and data engineering experience with architectural leadership at scale Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience Proven experience with production-grade high-volume data streaming architectures using technologies like GCP PubSub and AWS Kinesis Expertise in scalable data lake architectures and managing structured and unstructured data Hands-on proficiency in database design and performance tuning with AWS Redshift and PostgreSQL Aurora
