Certified Coding Specialist

Supporting the revenue cycle for physician coding and billing, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist will review and evaluate professional coding and billing for anesthesia and surgical services, acting as a resource for coding inquiries in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Perform systematic reviews of professional fee billing and coding to ensure documentation supports billed services Educate providers on coding practices based on research and audit findings Analyze and resolve issues related to missing charges and coding-related denials Required qualifications High School Diploma Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist for Physicians (CCS-P) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Two years of practical coding experience Experience with surgical coding strongly preferred Familiarity with Epic and physician billing processes is a plus
