The Burks Companies, Inc. (TBC) is hiring full-time Room Attendants / Housekeeping Staff to join our hospitality team at our Harrah's Casino & Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina location. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and creating exceptional guest experiences in luxury and high-profile facilities. Position Summary Guest Room Attendants ensure rooms are clean, organized, and well-maintained according to luxury brand standards. This role plays a key part in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment while delivering outstanding guest service. Overtime available.Key Responsibilities • Perform detailed cleaning tasks in guest rooms (approximately 15 rooms per shift), including making beds, changing linens, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, and maintaining overall cleanliness. • Ensure rooms are fully cleaned, stocked, and presented to required standards. • Identify and promptly report any room discrepancies or maintenance issues to the supervisor to ensure a smooth guest experience. • Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously. • Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures.• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude throughout the shift. • Serve as a role model for other TBC employees. Requirements • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and provide proof of eligibility. • Age: 21 or older. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods). • Must be able to work with various cleaning tools and chemicals while following all safety and hygiene standards. • Strong customer service skills. • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred. • All positions are subject to background and employment verification. Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Six months of housekeeping experience is a plus. Schedule • Full-time position > 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; schedule may vary. • Must be able to work weekends and holidays. • Minimum one-year commitment required*.*If employment ends before one year, the employee may be responsible for reimbursing applicable relocation or travel expenses (e.g., airfare, bus fare, transportation, housing).
