Elementary School Math Teacher

Position Summary:

Saint John's School, a Toddler to 12-grade co-ed secular school, actively seeks an experienced and intellectually curious educator for an Elementary Mathematics Teacher position.The Elementary Mathematics Teacher at Saint John’s School is responsible for delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction that fosters mathematical understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in young learners. This educator designs and implements engaging lessons aligned with school standards and best practices, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can develop confidence and competence in mathematics.The teacher collaborates with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence, uses data to inform instruction, and integrates innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning. In alignment with the mission and values of Saint John’s School, the Elementary Mathematics Teacher promotes academic excellence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for mathematics while supporting the holistic development of each student.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics or related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of elementary mathematics teaching experience, preferably within a private or independent school setting.
• Demonstrate expertise in upper-elementary mathematics
• Deep understanding of child development and effective instructional practices for young learners.
• Patience, flexibility, and passion for working with young children.
• Exemplary work ethic, a positive demeanor, adaptability, and a willingness to undertake assigned tasks.
• Demonstrating a deep passion for and staying informed about current advancements in educational theory and practice.
• Excellent written and oral skills in both English and Spanish a must.
