Risk Analytics Analyst

Transforming Data Into Strategic Insights

In this role, you will have the opportunity to transform data into strategic information to support business decision-making. You will use statistical analysis, business intelligence tools, and data visualization to evaluate underwriting performance, identify portfolio trends, analyze profitability, and monitor operational results.

Your responsibility will be to develop analytical solutions that generate value for the organization, communicating findings and recommendations to executive management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven initiatives and decisions.

Principal Responsibilities

• Analyze business and portfolio performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
• Extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources using statistical and analytical techniques.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and reporting solutions to monitor business performance.
• Develop and present actionable recommendations and analytical findings to management and executive leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and improve operational performance.
• Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and analytical processes using business intelligence tools.
• Support business planning, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis through data-driven insights.
• Perform other functions and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Masters degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferable.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in risk analysis, business analytics, data analytics, actuarial analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical function.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI is preferable.
• Experience conducting statistical analyses and converting analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience in the insurance, financial services, or actuarial sciences industry is preferable.
• Full proficiency in English and Spanish (bilingual).
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to transform complex data into business insights and actionable recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
• High level of attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build working relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
• Ability to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance analytical efficiency and generate better business insights.
