Solar PV Installer

Job Description

PROSOLAR is looking to hire entry level and skilled solar electrical system installers. Ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and master all aspects of installing PV solar systems. Must have knowledge in the installation and programming of Tesla and Enphase systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None
  

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installation of solar panels and baterry system.
  
• Electrical interconnection following and codes.
  
• Troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems in the field.
  
• Documentaton processes and reports.
  

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma, two-year degree in technology/industrial arts (preferred)
  

• 1-2 years of construction/electrical background.
  

• Valid driver’s license.
  

• Experience in mechanical installations, general construction and ladder work.
  

• Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools.
  

• Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems is preferred
  

• Experience working with all types of building materials - various roof types: stucco, wood, concrete, etc.
  

• Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates.
  

• Visual thinkers are good at problem solving and implementing ideas.
  

• Desire to learn and master all aspects of installing solar PV systems!
  

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  

• At least 1 years related experience
  

• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
  

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and being on feet
  

• Must be able to lift 50lbs -75lbs
  

• Must be able to work with heights; rooftops and climbing ladders

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive experience in the design, construction, and current codes applicable to roofing systems for residential and commercial applications is a must. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Excellent customer service skills Availability of six days a week, including nights and weekends Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of related experience Valid driver's license Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Physical Requirements: Essential physical requirements, included climbing, prolonged periods of standing and being on feet, stooping, bend, squat, stretch. Physical effort/lifting up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds. Ability to work in all weather and climates Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics Must be able to work with heights; ascends/descends a ladder to rooftops.
