Manufacturing TechnicianAs a Manufacturing Technician, you will serve as the technical backbone of the automated production floor. This role bridges the gap between general assembly and engineering by handling the mechanical setup, preventative maintenance, and electromechanical troubleshooting of sophisticated automated manufacturing equipment. You will ensure high-speed production lines remain fully operational while maintaining 100% compliance with strict FDA and site quality standards.Responsibilities:Electromechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose, isolate, and repair complex equipment failures involving pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, actuators, and mechanical assemblies.Automation & Vision Systems: Perform basic adjustments, component replacements, and troubleshooting on PLC-controlled machinery and automated vision inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence).Schematic Interpretation: Read and precisely interpret electrical blueprints, electronic layouts, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics to trace faults and execute component-level replacements.Systems & Networking: Navigate industrial PC interfaces, interface with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and assist with basic equipment network connectivity troubleshooting.Quality & Clean Room Compliance: Execute all technical interventions within a controlled Clean Room environment, ensuring absolute adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and strict documentation protocols.Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled PMs, equipment setups, and calibrations using precision measuring tools to minimize line downtime.Qualifications:Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on technical experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Aerospace).Automation Exposure: Practical knowledge of PLCs, sensors, automated feeders, and vision inspection systems.Precision Tools: Proficient in using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, and specialized industrial hand tools.Core Competencies: Strong technical writing (for equipment logs), proactive problem-solving, and a team-focused mindset.Education:Required: Associate Degree in a technical discipline (Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity, or Mechanical Technology).Work Schedule:Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.Schedule Adjustments: Initial schedule starts at 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; however, depending on operational and business needs, minor schedule shifts may occur within the window of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.Overtime (FLSA Non-Exempt): Position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked beyond the standard 40-hour workweek or per local statutory Puerto Rico labor regulations.
