On Trade Channel Manager

Responsible for leading and supervising the execution of the On Trade channel in the assigned territory, ensuring the fulfillment of commercial goals, team sales development, identification of growth opportunities, effective client management, and channel profitability. Additionally, manages and supervises the operation of El Almacn del Vino de Ponce, supporting the achievement of sales, customer service, inventory, purchasing, and product quality objectives. The position requires solid negotiation, presentation, organization, and analysis skills to participate or lead negotiations, present programs, implement strategies, and offer product tastings and talks. Also maintains constant communication with the Sales Manager On Trade, the Store Manager ADV, and Wine and Spirits Marketing, supported by detailed analysis and reports.

Responsibilities:

Supervision of Route - On Trade Channel

Supervise the execution of the assigned On Trade team, aligned with commercial goals, and lead its professional development by documenting the actions taken.

Develop plans, projections, analysis, and reports of the objectives and achievements of your team and territory in charge.

Develop and implement your sales strategic plan to achieve the assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual goal.

Perform sales analysis by brand in each assigned account to identify growth opportunities and ensure the inventory is updated according to the availability and rotation of products in your customers.

Create and facilitate product presentations according to the prospective client, for their evaluation and approval.

Supervise and perform the sales and collection work to restaurants, hotels, and other clients of the channel that buy through El Almacn del Vino, mainly in the south and west area.

Coordinate with the Marketing Department the programs to be presented to your clients and coordinate all activities in conjunction with Promotions for the sales boost in your accounts and/or special events.

Coordinate quarterly meetings with your key and relevant clients to present business reviews and make the necessary recommendations to maintain a growth and profitability trend.

Participate in the preparation and offer training, talks, tastings, or other initiatives to represent our brands, either for clients or in El Almacn del Vino.

Coordinate monthly outings with Brand Managers to the trade to evaluate the execution of our brands of liquors, beers, and wines in the point of sale. Identify opportunities for new approvals, observe the execution of the competition, and present recommendations to the sales management team.

Ensure that the members of your team timely execute the collection management of their assigned accounts, following up on the compliance with the credit policies and the established accounts receivable indicators by the company.

Participate and encourage the participation of your team in the Product Knowledge workshops, continuously strengthening the commercial and technical capabilities of the On Trade channel.

Store Operation - El Almacn del Vino de Ponce

Train, supervise, develop, and evaluate the staff of the El Almacn del Vino de Ponce store, in accordance with corporate policies and established performance indicators.

Prepare weekly work itineraries to cover the sales, tastings, special events, and deliveries in the store.

Supervise and be in charge of the daily cash sales box, ensuring its documentation, control, and follow-up.

Analyze the inventory and identify sales trends to maintain adequate inventory levels in the store. Make purchases of items for daily operation and weekly expense report.

Maintain the store inventory, create POs of purchased merchandise for sale, and send the invoice to the Finance Department.

Manage the budget assigned to the store to cover operating costs such as: payroll, security, and cleaning.

Coordinate tastings and other activities related to El Almacn del Vino within and outside the store facilities, maintaining the calendar of accounts and the agenda of the tasting room.

Develop corporate sales and private events of El Almacn del Vino, preparing quotes, contracts, and collection of the events carried out.

Coordinate with the Facilities Department any need for maintenance and cleaning of the store for the day-to-day operation, tastings, and/or events.

Requirements of the Position:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and/or Marketing or equivalent.

Minimum four (4) years of experience in consultative sales of wines, liquors, and beers and supervising retail operations and personnel.

Minimum three (3) years of experience in supervision and management of personnel, as well as in customer service.

Driver's License, Category #3, current, issued by the ELA of Puerto Rico.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Power BI) and other systems such as: Oracle, POS, and Artificial Intelligence.

Completely bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written).

Negotiation skills, sales data analysis, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Initiative, attention to detail, confidentiality, ability to work in a team, under pressure, and with minimal supervision.

Certification in wines, liquors, and/or beers from an accredited organization (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, CAFA, or similar).
