ACCOUNTANT

Job brief

Due to rapid growth The Gund Company has an excellent career opportunity for a Accountant in Queretaro, Mexico. The Accountant is a key member of the accounting and finance team. The Accountant will ensure monthly financial statements are reported timely and accurately and be a key driver in several strategic and continuous improvement projects. The senior accountant role will work in Queretaro, Mexico. This is a dynamic and engaging role, requiring solid technical accounting skills and continuous improvement mindset.

Essential Job Functions

· Supporting tasks in accordance with the month-end close schedule

· Prepare monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

· Record and reconcile weekly and biweekly payroll journal entries

· Research and reconcile all material discrepancies within GL accounts

· Assist in monthly preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules

· Analyze results in comparison to Budget and Forecast

· Assist in maintaining manufacturing ERP software

· Support accounting manager with special projects and workflow process improvements

· Assist with preparation of year-end review with external accounting firm

· Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Competencies

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· 3 + years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or manufacturing environment for multinational companies.

· 1 + years of progressive experience in the corporate taxation area, including current knowledge of any corporate tax developments (ISR and VAT)

· English – Advanced Level

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish and English)

· Advanced MS Office skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables.
