Growing together.The Travel Operations Analyst resides with the Global Intelligence Operations (GIO) - Intelligence Operations Center (IOC), supporting the Country Security Operations Center (CSOC) by providing continuous monitoring, situational awareness, and operational support for global employees, events, and executive travel. This role focuses on real?time travel visibility, monitoring of emerging events impacting dynamic assets, and coordination activities that enable duty of care coverage 24/7/365.Operating within established procedures and escalation frameworks, the Travel Operations Analyst plays a critical execution?level role in assessing evolving global incidents, identifying potential impacts to dynamic traveling populations, initiating direct outreach and/or supporting response coordination, and maintaining accurate operational records in a fast?paced security operations environment. Unlike traditional monitoring functions focused on static assets, this role continuously monitors dynamic human assets, requiring continuous impact assessment, independent judgment, direct stakeholder engagement, and coordination with high-profile teams during rapidly evolving incidents.Primary Responsibilities:Monitor global employee and executive travel activity using approved traveler tracking and travel security platformsMaintain real?time awareness of global security, environmental, political, and operational events that may impact traveler safety or mobilityEvaluate developing incidents affecting dynamic traveler populations whose locations, itineraries, and exposure levels can change rapidlyIdentify travelers potentially affected by developing incidents or disruptions and initiate appropriate notifications or escalationsReview, triage, and document travel?related alerts, advisories, and system notifications in accordance with established proceduresSupport executive and high-profile traveler movements through enhanced monitoring and direct stakeholder coordination during elevated risk eventsSupport coordination with Executive Protection and Event Security teams, regional security partners, and CSOC counterparts during routine and emerging situationsAssist with traveler outreach, follow?up messaging, and location verification as directedProvide accurate traveler location and contextual information to support incident response and non?standard escalationsMaintain clear, timely, and defensible documentation of travel monitoring activities, alerts, and incidentsParticipate in structured shift handovers to ensure continuity of awareness and operational coveragePrioritize and manage tasks effectively during periods of increased operational tempo or global activityEscalate issues that fall outside defined procedures or risk thresholds to senior operators or leadership as requiredYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1+ years of experience in security operations, travel security, intelligence operations, or a related roleExperience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or operations center environmentDemonstrated ability to follow established processes while applying judgment within defined guidelinesProven solid written and verbal communication skills suited to operational environmentsProven high attention to detail and accuracy when handling time?sensitive or safety?related informationProven ability to work effectively in a shift?based, fast?paced operational settingRequired Skillsets and CompetenciesSituational awareness and operational monitoringIncident triage and structured escalationAdherence to procedures and operational disciplineClear and concise operational communicationTeam collaboration within a 24/7 operations centerProblem solving within established guidelinesOrganization, task prioritization, and documentationProfessional judgment and accountability in routine operational decisionsAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
