Growing together.The Documentation Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the flow of client referrals within the Optum EHR referral queue EHRen, the supervision of case entry team staff, the scheduling, education, discipline and mentoring of direct reports, and will ensure the adherence to the quality, productivity and HIPPA policy and process guidelines.This position is full-time (40 hours/week) as assigned, with monthly weekend requirement including Holidays. It may be necessary, given the business need to work overtime. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm AST.Primary Responsibilities:Monitor volume to ensure proper referral distribution to staff and adherence to turn around time SLAsMaintains employee schedules and user access to ensure client referral volume coverageMonitor and maintain the Intake Operations quality standards, as well as goals for productivityIdentify possible referral or connectivity issues for client EMRs and report to I.T. via service ticketCommunicate in a timely manner, sustained and unresolved referral or connectivity issues to client EMRsIdentify client referral trends and issuesInvestigate and resolve client case inquiriesCoordinate the education and training of new and existing staffCommunicate to staff any policy and/or process changesMonitor staff timesheets, overtime hours worked, and time off requests to ensure they are within department guidelinesComplete interim and yearly performance evaluations and yearly MAP goalsMentor staff to higher performance levels and to other job positionsAbility to work with peer group as a team such as create assignments, perform shift to shift handoffs, provide pre and post weekend assessments, and peer mentoringWork with department support staff to prevent or improve any potential issuesDemonstrate the UHG five core values and provide a solid leadership shadowFlexibility, specifically with work scheduleAbility to balance multiple high priority tasksOther duties may apply***ENGLISH PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER APPLICATION***You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1+ years of experience in a leadership role2+ years of experience working with patient documentationExperience with reporting and data retrievalProven understanding of confidentiality/PHI policies and HIPAA complianceProficiency with Windows PC applications: Microsoft Word (create and edit documents), Microsoft Excel (create, sort, and edit data in spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management), which includes the ability to navigate a computer while on the phoneThis position is full-time (40 hours/week) with business operating hours operating from Monday - Sunday from 6:00AM - 12:00AM. It may be necessary, given business need, to work occasional overtime and/or weekends or holidays.
