About the location:

Nestled along a two-mile (3.2-kilometre) stretch of beach in Puerto Rico’s Bahia Beach community, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is also surrounded by its own 483-acre (195-hectare) private nature reserve. The property is seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings, allowing guests and residents to immerse themselves in the white sand beaches, verdant walking trails, and myriad outdoor activities – from golf, tennis, swimming and beyond.

About the role

The Security Officeris responsible forthe day-to-day security force of the resort to ensure the safety and security of all guests,employeesand property. The role includes risk, loss management of the property, supporting workplace safety, life/fire safety systems, and preventing situations that could jeopardize the safety and operation of the hotel. The ideal candidate must havestrong communicationand problem-solving skills.

What you will do

• Be part of the opening team

• Assist the Hotel team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests,patronsand associates; their property, Hotel property, building and grounds.

• Enforce Hotel rules,regulationsand policies as well as the departments’ rules,policiesand standards.

• Respond to and mediate all non-emergency security calls, minor injuries, disputes, stressful, and complicated issuesetc.

• Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the Hotel to reduce accidents and loss by providing training asrequired.

• Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls. Willassistin the Fire Command center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the fire/life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures.

• Patrol buildingnotingand correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Able walk/run upstairs carrying a fire extinguisher.

• Implement all policies and proceduresregardingsecurity and safety.

• Share duties in Operations Center with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control.

• Assist with Worker’s Compensation, complete reports, andmaintaina healthand safety.

• Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations. Maintain report records,assistand follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs. Initiates andassistsGeneral liability reports. Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.

• Containand transport items potentially contaminatedin accordance withBlood Borne Pathogen program and training.

• Participate and take an active role in the development and implementation of the hotel’s fire plan. In addition to testing the hotel’s Fire and Emergency Response preparedness.

• Interact and conduct V.I.P. escorts in a professional and courteous manner.

What you bring

• High school education or equivalent experience

• Average reading, writing, and oralproficiencyin the English language.

• 1 year of experience in law enforcement or security work preferred but notrequired.
