Overview :
The Automation Support Specialist is directly responsible for the execution of technical assignments related to manufacturing automation systems. This role focuses on the upkeep, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of control systems and manufacturing equipment within a pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities :
Provide solid technical expertise in supporting automated manufacturing equipment within the pharmaceutical industry.
Perform day-to-day management and maintenance of software and hardware production systems.
Conduct PLC programming, modifications, and troubleshooting .
Diagnose and repair issues with manufacturing / production equipment and control systems.
Execute regular preventive maintenance activities on automated systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturing staff to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or
Associate degree in Automation, Instrumentation, or Control System Technology, with extensive hands-on experience.
Experience :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in automation support, maintenance, or a related role.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
Technical Skills :
Proficient knowledge in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
Strong troubleshooting skills related to control systems, instrumentation, and production equipment.
Working knowledge of measuring instruments, calibration, and validation processes.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
Other Requirements :
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage work independently or collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish , written and verbal.
Availability for occasional after-hours support if needed.
