Pay Rate : $55000 - $65000 per year
Job Description :
Will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial functions of multiple business units. This person will be in charge of ensuring tax and accounting compliance, as well as the integrity of financial reporting, providing direct support to senior management and supervising a team.
Main Responsibilities :
- Manage the accounting processes of several companies under the same corporate group.
- Perform monthly accounting entries and review internal financial statements.
- Oversee cash flow and bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
- Validate and monitor invoicing, IVU, purchase orders and sales pricing.
- Coordinate the process of electronic payments (ACH) to suppliers and government entities (SURI, IRS).
- Evaluate and authorize payments according to due date and verify supporting documents.
- Analyze accounts receivable behavior and aging.
- Audit special merchandise transactions to ensure correct costs and classifications.
- Monitor payroll processes and state and federal payroll compliance.
- Prepare monthly / annual financial reports and present findings to the president and advisory board.
- Participate in annual budget planning and analysis.
- Generate financial projections and variance analysis for decision making.
- Manage relationships with banking institutions and secure access to lines of credit or other financial resources.
- Support recruitment processes with Human Resources.
- Lead and inspire a team, promoting commitment and collaboration.
- Review electronic correspondence and provide timely response.
- Implement improvements to accounting processes and systems, including inventory.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus.Minimum ten (10) years of experience in accounting, financial and administrative functions, preferably in retail and wholesale distribution industries.Proven track record in leadership and supervisory positions.Bilingual (English, Spanish) Ability to communicate orally and in writing.Advanced analytical ability to interpret financial information and generate strategic recommendations.Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, in dynamic and high volume environments.Flexibility to adapt to operational changes and evolving technology environments.Functional knowledge of digital platforms such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Outlook, and general internet usage.Willingness to train and manage internal systems such as Power 9 (AS400), APLUS or others as determined necessary by the company.
