About the location :

The Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences at Puerto Rico is a collection of 139 hotel rooms and 84 private residences. Situated on 483 acres with two miles of beach frontage, award-winning golf, an expansive wildlife sanctuary, nature trails and a lagoon complete with paddle boarding, fishing, and a water playground.

About the role :

The Director of People and Culture forms part of the Executive Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel or Resort. We are looking for individuals who are brave problem solvers, have strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills and are able to evidence professionalism, and adaptability. Individuals also need to be a catalyst for change and an employee champion while having a growth mindset.

What you will do :

The Director will oversee all aspects of the People and Culture division including but not limited to benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training, workers’ compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.

The Director will play an active role in our Wellness programs and responsible for leading successful Diversity Inclusion and Belonging initiatives.

Candidates will need to actively balance the requirements of being strategic and tactical and have a high degree of integrity for employee heart of the house spaces.

What you bring :

Three to five years of previous employment in a Director of People & Culture position

Bachelor’s Degree / 4 year Degree is strongly preferred.

Human Resources, Educational or Hospitality background is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience.

A passion for service in Luxury Hospitality while possessing strong financial acumen and ability to understand strategic financial planning and budgeting.

Occasional travel is required to other Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for training and development purposes.
