Hello, my name is Camilo Torres. I'm looking for a responsible cat sitter to care for my three (3) cats for four (4) days, from Friday, June 27th to Monday, June 30th. Basically, I need one visit per day for a maximum of one hour. I'm writing to request a quote for the cat sitter service. How much would each visit cost? What would the total cost of the service be? (One visit per day for 4 days). We live in Toa Baja, Bayamón, 2 minutes from the Río Hondo shopping center and 4 minutes from the expressway. We're traveling to Isabela from Friday, June 27th to Monday, June 30th, and we need someone to come once a day to check on our three cats. Two of them will be in the carport (or "meow-carport") and one will be inside the house. Both in the carport and inside the house, they have an electric feeder, a gravity waterer, a litter box, a cat tower, etc. They are all neutered and vaccinated. The job consists of : a) Cleaning two litter boxes. b) Removing or throwing away old dry food from the electric feeder dish. They don't eat dry food left in the electric feeder dish for several hours. I prefer the feeder to throw out extra food so they don't go hungry, and they always leave some. That food can be thrown away in the trash. c) Checking that the electric feeder and gravity waterer are working properly (that the cats haven't turned over or knocked over anything). I usually clean and fill the feeder and water bowl once a week, and I'll leave them ready before we leave. The feeder and water bowl shouldn't be an additional chore. The cats have knocked over the feeder only once. That was the only time. d) Being careful when entering and exiting so they don't escape. But they also can't enter the house, because they can sneak through the gate to the second floor, and they can't sleep inside. Both cats are very shy and get nervous around new people. The previous sitter only saw them when they ran off to hide in the carport closet, and they didn't come out until she left. Which shouldn't be a problem. In fact, if you have dogs or work with dogs, they'll hide immediately and won't come out until you leave. Visiting hours are flexible, but ideally they would be more or less the same time every day. The cats are calmest during the day, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., but it can be in the morning or at night. The important thing is consistency, partly so the cats get used to it, and partly because we have to leave instructions in the guardhouse detailing approximate times (it can be flexible, a period of between 2 and 3 hours). I understand that between visiting the cats and the round-trip transportation, it will likely take more than an hour. That's why I'm asking for a per-visit price, rather than an hourly rate. So, if you're interested, please let me know how much it would cost for one visit a day for four days for my three cats. Thank you so much.
