Job Title : Business Performance Senior Manager
Location : East Area, Puerto Rico (Open for Puerto Rico Residents)
Department : Quality, Operations Strategy & Systems (QOS&S)
Period : Approximately 5 months

Position Summary :
The Business Performance Sr. Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing and facilitating business performance processes aligned with the QOS&S strategic vision. This individual will lead the development of productivity programs, performance metrics, portfolio governance, and automated reporting solutions to drive continuous improvement across the organization. The role involves high cross-functional engagement and requires strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement business performance frameworks aligned with the strategic goals of QOS&S.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards to support business performance tracking (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet).
- Lead periodic project portfolio and financial reviews, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Define and execute a comprehensive Productivity Program, including governance, tools, and stakeholder engagement to meet Amgens Year-over-Year (YoY) productivity goals.
- Facilitate business performance reviews, strategic working sessions, and recurring team meetings.
- Monitor progress toward key deliverables; proactively identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, resources, and dependencies.
- Own meeting logistics including agenda creation, documentation of decisions, and tracking of action items to closure.
- Codify and standardize business performance processes through templates, tools, and training.
- Support integrated project planning and scheduling of transformation initiatives.
- May contribute to GxP Level 0 Quality Management Reviews preparation and coordination.
Basic Qualifications :
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience :
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Quality experienceMasters degree and 4 years of Quality experienceBachelors degree and 6 years of Quality experienceAssociates degree and 10 years of Quality experienceHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of Quality experienceRequired Competencies and Skills :
Fluent in EnglishExperience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environmentsProven track record in managing deviations, CAPAs, and / or Change Control recordsDemonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams or teams across multiple sitesExperience in budget planning and long-range scenario planningStrong background in Organization Change Management and internal communicationsInnovation mindset with the ability to translate ideas into practical solutionsProject management experience with scheduling, tracking, and stakeholder alignmentProficiency with business intelligence and project tools such as :Power BI , Smartsheet , Tableau , Sensing ToolsPreferred Qualifications :
Deep knowledge of Amgens Quality Management System (QMS)High cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication dexterityAutonomous decision-making skills and willingness to take informed risks
