JOB DESCRIPTION
Design solutions to drive safe living and quality of life
As a Semiconductor Engineer I – (Electrical Circuit Design Engineer) here at Honeywell Puerto Rico, you will be accountable for the design and development of microchips. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into efficient and high-performance integrated circuits. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will ensure the successful development and optimization of ASIC design projects.
You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our [Puerto Rico] location.
In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge integrated circuits that power innovative solutions in various industries. You will play a pivotal role in driving the design and implementation of these circuits, contributing to shaping the future of technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a Digital Designer of high-performance low-power memory chips, ASICs, FPGA
- Development of the ASIC Test Implementation plan to individualize the standardized DFT solutions to the ASIC, including the hierarchical test architecture and the strategies to address ASIC-specific DFT requirements.
- Insertion of DFT structures, generation, simulation, and validation of test patterns for both DFT logic verification and for High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) testing of the design.
- Development of the Static Timing Analysis (STA) constraints for physical construction and timing closure in all DFT modes, and association with the Physical Design team to achieve timing closure for the DFT modes.
- Team up with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into efficient integrated circuit.
- Collaborating with the HVM Test Engineering team during silicon bring-up and New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Apply the Synopsys digital design flow for efficient and accurate implementation
- Utilize programming languages such as C, C+, TCL, or PERL for design and verification tasks
