Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager with experience in managing projects that intersect Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems within a critical infrastructure environment. This role is essential to ensuring the successful delivery of technology projects that support reliable utility operations across Puerto Rico.
You will lead complex projects involving SCADA systems, NERC-CIP and NIST CSF frameworks, and IT / OT integration all while coordinating closely with cybersecurity, operations, and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented project manager who understands the regulatory landscape and has the ability to work on-site in a dynamic, high-accountability environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage end-to-end IT / OT projects across Genera PR's infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and status reports.
- Serve as liaison between internal departments (IT, OT, Cybersecurity, Operations) and external vendors.
- Ensure that cybersecurity considerations, including compliance with NERC-CIP and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), are integrated into the early stages of project design and execution.
- Manage dependencies related to SCADA and other OT systems and technologies critical to utility operations.
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies, particularly those related to cyber infrastructure and late-stage security review bottlenecks.
- Coordinate project documentation, approvals, and change control processes.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct stakeholder briefings, status updates, and post-implementation reviews.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.Experience : 5+ years of project management experience in IT, preferably in utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure environments.Skills :Demonstrated understanding of NERC-CIP standards, NIST CSF, and SCADA systems.
Experience managing both IT and OT projects, with an understanding of their convergence and unique challenges.Strong coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams.Ability and willingness to work on-site (remote work is highly discouraged due to the hands-on nature of the role).Familiarity with cybersecurity risk assessment and control implementation processes.Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.Certifications : PMP (Project Management Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CompTIA Security+, Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA) or related ICS / SCADA certifications.Language : Proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.Working Conditions :
